How it works
eChart Manitoba (eChart) is a viewable, printable and searchable electronic health record system that provides health-care providers with access to key patient health information. The system depends on information fed from connected electronic source systems. These electronic source systems update eChart at different rates; some are updated in real time, while others are updated less frequently, like once a day.
Each health-care provider has a unique username and password to access the system, and the information they access is logged and subject to auditing. eChart abides by Manitoba’s regulatory and legislative standards related to the protection of personal health information, including The Personal Health Information Act (PHIA).
More information about eChart and your health information rights is available through the office of the Manitoba Ombudsman.
