What can I expect when I am going to participate in a WebEx online webinar?

  • You will receive a WebEx invitation by email which includes a:
    1. Pre-WebEx-session-testing link (http://www.webex.com/test-meeting.html). If you have not logged into a Webinar before, please test your computer’s browser a few days prior to the session by selecting this link.
    2. Date and time specific internet link (i.e. the “URL”) that you will need to click on a few minutes before the date/time of your session to view the presentation.
    3. Teleconference line dial-in phone number and teleconference code you will need in order to hear and talk while you view the presentation.
  • Note: you will need to use a computer with an internet connection where a WebEx pre-test has been performed and access to a phone line in a quiet area.

How can I prepare myself for a WebEx session in advance?

  • Perform a WebEx pre-test: http://www.webex.com/test-meeting.html
  • Review your WebEx invitation to confirm the date and time of your session. If you do not receive a WebEx invitation, contact eChart Manitoba Services.

Why is there feedback noise on the teleconference line?

When multiple teleconference participants are on the phone line at the same time, a disruptive feedback noise may occur. If you are not speaking to the group, please place your phone on mute, but remember to “un-mute” your line when you would like to speak. Select mute again when you are done speaking. You should be able to hear the host or other speakers even when you are on “mute”; if you cannot hear anything, type a message to the session host on the sidebar.
