<< Back to FAQs

What are the supported web browsers for eChart?

Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) 10 (compatibility mode) and 11 (compatibility mode).

How do I ensure eChart functions properly within IE?

To ensure eChart functions properly within IE, you’ll need to update your “Trusted Sites” lists.

“Trusted Sites” list
The “Trusted Sites” list controls which websites IE considers “Trusted” and allows you to access them. In most cases you can use *.manitoba-ehealth.ca which provides a normal level of security. For sites that use an additional level of security, you will want to remove the *.manitoba-ehealth.ca and use a list of specific URLs (see below).

“Trusted Sites” list (normal security)
For the normal level of security, please ensure that *.manitoba-ehealth.ca is added in the “Trusted Sites” list of Internet Explorer.

To do this:

  1. While in IE 11, click on the white gear in the top right corner and Select “Internet options”
  2. On the Internet Options window -> Security tab, select the “Trusted sites” zone and click the sites button.
  3. Type *.manitoba-ehealth.ca in the “Add this website to the zone” field

“Trusted Sites” list (additional security)
To apply the additional security level for the “Trusted Sites” list, you will need to remove the *.manitoba-ehealth.ca and add the specific list of URLs below. This will ensure eChart and all Shared Health websites will remain accessible.

  • https://echart-secure.stg.manitoba-ehealth.ca
  • https://echart-pwv.manitoba-ehealth.ca
  • https://pwc.manitoba-ehealth.ca

To do this:

  1. While in IE 11, click on the white gear in the top right corner and Select “Internet options”
  2. On the Internet Options window -> Security tab, select the “Trusted sites” zone and click the sites button.
  3. Individually enter the list above into the “Add this website to the zone” field.
